Okay, to address a few points. Let's be clear - the reason I met with Toby was because I was unhappy with the limited information being given by the club, and I had a number of concerns with the new set-up that I felt needed addressing. I want the best for the club and will give these guys a chance (and the limited support I can give) but I am not a mouthpiece for the club and if I disagree with something I will call it out. I am more satisfied now than I was previously.
Shall we move away from the "university kids" bit? That suggests that this is a college project (as a lot of us assumed). This is not the case.
Mike: Club ownership has passed on to this team of directors. So no, Scannella senior is not involved in any official capacity. Although I suppose the lads have to get their money from somewhere... I would be far more concerned if the Gales had links to the new ownership, than someone who had become disenfranchised with the Casuals project and was looking for pastures new.
Neil: Everyone acknowledges that there really should have been some communication by now. I think they are still processing the enormity of the task in hand and understandably wanted to get their feet under the table so they could answer questions properly. I get that. I think that honeymoon period is pretty much over though, and now that we have the resemblance of a squad and pre-season is close, they need to start making an impression. If we don't begin to hear stuff in the next 7-10 days I will be very unhappy. There needs to be a meeting with supporters as well, though if there is I hope everyone will give them a chance and not attack them for the club's past failings.
1969: I'm sorry but "2nd hand" is the best I can do. Do you see all newspaper interviews as 2nd hand then? Because it's not the actual Chairman/Director writing the article? To repeat what I said in my report, season tickets are one of many things being discussed and sorted by the new board. As with all clubs, getting the balance is key- ST income gives a nice cash injection early in the season but leaves you short of turnover later on. If it is bought by someone who only goes to 10 games then it makes it a good revenue stream for the club, whereas if fans who go to every game got one, the club is going to receive less money overall. At this level, selling 10 season tickets is probably not the most important thing on their agenda.
1969: As far as I know, Alan Smith's non-exec President role will be in name only. He had only limited involvement in the club last season. By his own admission, Toby is still working behind the scenes to assist the new team, who in all honesty will need that guidance. It's no longer his club though and he won't be putting in his own money.
1969 again: I'm sorry but we are on a totally different planet to Woking in terms of set-up, resources and finances. Pre-season games are all about fitness and getting a balance. Are we going to blow the budget by getting Portsmouth 3rd XI down for a friendly? Ironically, all Pompeys pre-season friendlies are against teams in lower divisions and fans are saying exactly the same thing there!
I think that the fact it has been written into contract that the club can't change it's name or merge with another club is key, and we should take heart from that.
If there are any other legitimate questions, let me know and I will try to get them answered.

Thanks Mike I loved it really just frustrating from some of results we sufferedover the years , we are all properly scarred as Walton fans aren't we! There have been some real crappy times of late. I really think we have bottomed out though and things can only get better. Take a deep breath and let's move forward. Give these new guys our backing and see what happens. I've got a feeling that we'll have a decent season. If it goes tits up I might go and support Molesey

They have just had an open trials day which has led to some new recruits. I know they are keen to get people down to friendliest so they can judge the work in progress for themselves, to do this though they will have to interact with the fans

Thank you for the news information on the club Alex l appreciate your feedback you are a gentleman. When you put it like that 10 season tickets does not sound a lot really worth bothering about, if we continued like last season lost most of our first several opening league games got off to a bad start the pay on the gate fans would start to drift away might never come back, at least the club has collected the money from season ticket holders for the rest of the season and most important of all the season ticket holders would continue attend matches to get their moneys worth will be kept onboard the season tickets the glue that sticks them permanently to the club. Hopefully it won't come to that Alex and we will be one of the four lucky clubs that wins promotion this year, l would be more than pleased if we just make it to 4th place as long as we go back up.
Great to hear we now have the Sicilian Mafia onboard now at Walton & Hersham FC, Smithy sure has found us some great new owners it just gets better Spring Onion you could not make it up if you tried, l have watched Inspector Montalbano on BBC 4 know how they operate they are very family orientated but never double cross any of them you upset one you upset the whole family. Hopefully the new Swans Walton branch of mafia will sort out the bar takings and EBC who keep a lot of our revenue streams get them back in house for a percentage of the takings, and sort out any players that score own goals and goalies that under perform. Where is Footie Frank maybe he is Mr Scannella hopefully you have not upset Footie Frank in past posts to much Richard?
