This match followed the pattern of the previous two where a poor first half was followed by a much improved second 45 minutes. After the first 45 everybody was wondering how Winchester were not out of sight having missed chance after chance and having totally dominated proceedings, Swans hardly getting out of their own half. Their persistence in trying to play the ball out from the back was found sadly wanting with Winchester pressing very high up the pitch. A change of tactics after half-time to hitting earlier, longer balls proved decisive.
In the 68th minute Swans took the lead when a long ball down the middle found Nana Owusu who controlled it instantly and hit a looping shot into the net from the edge of the area.
Two minutes later it was 2-0 when an intricate piece of play was finished off by Stan Flaherty.
And another two minutes later it was 3-0 when Trae Cook, who had only just come on, burst down the left and crossed low for Johl Powell to slam the ball home.
Winchester got a late consolation goal from the penalty spot.

Winchester City dominated the first half had good chances and possession and tyla kept us in game with great saves ,sometimes in games you don't get rewarded for the way you play ,swans played much better second half and scored 3 good goals more like we were early in season ,conceding late was disappointing,the game wasn't helped by windy conditions and a refferee who missed so much and moaning Winchester players ,even kick ball deliberately in swans dugout ,and there shocking behaviour of manager and his assistant in dressing room tunnell area ,he was looking to be nasty ,incidents do happen hope it got cleared up as we headed home well happy with 3points and getting a home victory some postponed matches today and a decent attendence on a lousy day ,well done swans , |

have to say that I think the first half today was one of the worse that I had seen for a while,second half much better

581. great crowd , winchester management team let themselves down even more when you view their after match analysis , as least we dont have play them again for a while, definetly sore loosers up the SWANS 👍🤪🤔😁😝 Yes jc there managers attitude is and allways will be pathetic ,Scott was sent of ,not being close enough, there player booting player in the swans dugout was abysmal, and that other person from there clubs horrendous behaviour glad we haven't got to play them again this season 3 vital points and great finishing ,played on ground to feet ,they missed there chances simple as that not our problem, |

And they got done at home by bottom club Didcot in mid week with a 90th min winner…….maybe changes coming
