From the FA website:
Guildford City have been removed from the Buildbase FA Vase in relation to the fielding of an ineligible player in their tie with Eastbourne United.
At a meeting of an FA Vase Sub-Committee held this week, the members considered the charge of a breach of FA Vase Rule 15(i)(i) in that Jack Beattie [sic] played in the above match whilst being registered on loan from Farnborough FC and was therefore ineligible.

I saw in the competition rules that loanees are not allowed to play in the FA Vase which seems very unusual, certainly not the case in the FA Cup. I also noted that match will have replays if drawn, unless both teams agree (and inform FA prior to match) to have extra time and penalties. I wonder what outcome has been chosen for Saturday's game at Frimley

It was decided that we would go for extra time and no penalties so if a draw after ,extra time it will be a replay on Tuesday.

Let's hope that we can turn Frimley Green over in the first match, a decent run in an FA competition is long overdue and we ought to be good enough to do it based on our gritty performances to date! Good luck to the lads today anyway.Long way to go until we can realistically contemplate a return to level 4 but things seem to be going well let's hope the encouraging spirit and endeavour continues for the rest of the season.

Absolutely echo that Fred.... bitterly regret that I won't be there, as it turns out just this morning that Southern Rail's industrial dispute has cancelled the trains I had counted on taking after I'd put a lot of effort into planning the journey.

If Merv is reading this it would be helpful to have that info on the Club website, about the extra time today that is. I'd've expected a Tuesday replay with the possibilitiies that entails, but if I'd been able to go today I'd not have been allowing for the possibility of the prolonged stay in Frimley. Thanks
