Just an early heads up from the Hastings forum (they went to Casuals today). Perhaps a bit jaundiced by losing, make of it what you will.
************** Brand new ground , a little sterile, no PA system , no advertising boards and Tea at £2 a cup.
*************** What a horrid ground ... council owned , they get no money for the bar , food etc .. the banners are taken down at the end of the game to return it to a neutral ground .. they only get gate and program money
Horrible Lego , plastic ground with no loyalty or connection with the club .... I hate these grounds and felt a bit sterilised from the whole visit . I don't drink but the bar was awful pouring out of cans , no alcohol outside . No atmosphere , no human touch ...no point !!!!!

Its all true they just did not mention all the the Security, lack of any merchandise shop, smoking area outside the ground or the dour corporate atmosphere that it exhumes. Buckle up for the prawn sandwiches and carcinogenic pitch, but we can all do something by voicing our opinions.
Following your results, wishing the best

I will not be spending any money on food and drink in the new ground,I will bring my own or walk around to the weir for a drink,or I will donate any money that I would have spent to the club directly,I am not given anything to the council

was happy to give it a go but no draft beer £2 for a cup of tea so apart from entrance and programme it will be hard to spend any money at the TIP

They won't get a penny out of me either. The Hastings fans review gets it absolutely spot on. Horrible place.

Hi another Stags fan here, but someone who also likes watching Swans....I have been three times and actually love it, so too does my young son, who enjoys taking a ball and playing on the other 4g pitch at half time and the main one afterwards! It's a nice setting/cycle by the river and yes it is a shame there is no Club Shop but I actually think the catering is pretty good with a reasonable selection behind the bar and the fish and chip stand. Atmosphere is what you make it and I am sure in time a table could be put in the bar selling merchandise. There looks like foundations in place behind the dug out to erect a small stand, in time, hopefully when both Stags and Swans are playing at a higher level. Ps, main stand has good vantage points, lots of leg room and placeholders for cups :-) Anyway, looking out for your results too and hopefully your great start to the season is maintained!
