He has been found out. We are far too predictable. They can't play out from the back. They are non league players for a reason. There is no change of tactics. No ideas. Nothing.
I know what Scott has done but sentiment can't keep someone there if they are doing a poor job.
You all know it's gone very bad. Same mistakes, same tactics and nothing changes.
Sorry to write this.

Neil C welcome to the forum, always great to have new members with varied opinions.
I think on this one I will have to disagree with you. I think we got hyped by ourselves and other clubs and believed we could sail through this division with another promotion.
That was never going to happen, I hoped, but being realistic I knew that would not be.
The style of football we have adopted is not beyond us. And move up to the conference you will find teams playing that style. It is not the style of football that is wrong it is, I hate to say, some of the players. But not by much, a few changes and we can progress onwards.
I am very comfortable to back Scott and Billy and believe they will get us up to the next level within the next season or two.

Team has come along way very quickly …confidence from winning which is part of any style has now gone and absolutely missing the pieces good enough to play this style…….playing from the back is very very much a team involvement ….right now the pieces are not good enough for this level ….give always in any sport will kill you and last few weeks the giveaways have been becoming unacceptable….too soon to throw Scott and coached s to the wolves but fans want wins ….and without wins crowds will drop of quickly money tightens up and player quality goes down the sink hole
absolutely the higher level is part of the undoing and a good coach has to realize changes need to be made these players are not good enough to play this style against better teams ….opposition have scouted well enough to know drop off and then pressure in the middle of the park look for turnovers and giveaways ….things have to change quickly or his will all go pear shaped..right now this team is in trouble

OC I agree it's a concern if the results drop off the crowds will too, this is why expectations need to be realistic. Although there is a fantastic international following there is little income generated from that.
I heard today's crowd was around 800, for a game like that it surely has to exceed a thousand. The 800 should be average if we want the club to have money to invest in better players.
I would also add, getting players on loan is not the answer. If we had a chance for promotion then great as a final push, but we are not. So we need to find players who will replace them when they disappear at the end of the season.

This is so predictable .I got moaned up being negative ,the managers Scott and Billy have done superb job ,but that is not good enough for some people ,win say nothing on this forum and and the moaning starts when defeats come ,I'd rather see the football than the moaning groaning cheating that teams like Basingstoke produced today ,

The management team need to respond to this challenge. We have won three, draw two and lost nine of our last 14 league games. That is relegation form. We have lost 11 of our last 16 including two cup defeats. The last three months have been damaging and demoralising. We were strongly placed and optimstic about the play offs at the start of November but we have been badly beaten time and time again since then. The stand out result was beating Salisbury.

Watched EFL highlights last night-not just Walton but the amount of goals conceded by this ridiculous obsession with passing it around via the goalkeeper is crazy!! However let's put this in perspective Walton & Basingstoke were outstanding last season, but both are pretty ordinary in this league which tells its own story! No way should Scott Harris go-I would say be very careful what you wish for. One question -why is Eddie Simon not starting?

Merthyr have the highest average in the league at 825 (if it’s true that Tottons figures are false). So getting over 800 on average will be a stretch at this level I think. But agree it’s what we need to make progress. Also agree with all these loan signings not being good. The line up is massively different every week. How can they learn each others style of play?

Absolutely outrageous to suggest that the manager should go! We are having a bad time at the moment and things need to change but I am sure that nobody needs to tell Scotty that. The management know what needs to happen but don't forget they are operating on a limited budget. I do agree with the poster who said that he doesn't agree with loan players. I don't believe that they (loanees) can commit fully to us. Are they going to be up for getting injured for a team that they are on loan to? Mind you I sometimes wonder how committed some of the players are who go on holiday in the season!

I can pass on your wishes to him fortunately there is a small handful of people with this view and plenty of winning teams you could go and watch and maybe you may return when we are winning again!!!! I wish he would let some of you know how much he has truly done for your team. Problem is he is far too humble to do so.!

Regarding the two Fulham loanees you may have heard Scott say in his post-match interview that they are both due to play on Monday for Fulham U-21 away at Burnley. This is what you get with loanees. Never going to have a settled side.

I do agree to some extent that playing from the back at all times does pose risk and we have given away some terrible looking goals. We have also dominated possession for successive years and worn teams down over and over again- the success answers any debate. Any goal is avoidable really if you drill down into and look. If people are suggesting we adopt a route one straight to a big man up top then we are playing into the hands of almost all teams I have seen this year. Organised, physical and happy to deal with anything long. We are simply gifting them goals. I agree that recent performances have been a tough watch but seriously stick with the team and get behind them. They have switched things up and players will take time to adjust. This does feel like a build up for next season as unless they can string together a stunning run. I think we had to try and tighten up slightly at the back and this is why you don’t see the full backs as far forward as before- millsy type of runs were so effective but badly missed and for me Eoin in the left isn’t as good going forward as maybe Sam Tutt was. It’s been hard to find those gaps in between full backs but there are green shoots. Johl Powell was constantly finding these great little pockets of space but we just couldn’t pick him out but when that starts to happen that will make a big difference. I do feel Eddie should be up top centrally with for me Trae out wide as felt he looked very useful there before injury. I like John Guilbert more central off a striker personally.
