The sun shines at the moment but will it be shining on the Swans come the end of the day. Great day for football as Walton take on Worthing. Come and support the Swans.

Lost 2-1 as I am sure you all know by now. Pretty disappointing another player sent off. Didn't really see what was going on but I think there was some retaliation in the penalty box. Our man got sent off they got a penalty and scored the winning goal.
This is only the second game I have seen this year and after the Crawley game where we played some great football today was the opposite. The ball was in the air for about 60% of the game and although we have some tall players came out second on most of those. The play was all pushed into small areas of the field which in fairness probably helped us after we went down to 10 men but why can't we spread the play out.
Juan had a couple of time he should have broken through but had one eye on the linesman. Why! I don't know, maybe terrified of getting booked or sent off.
The referee was rubbish and decisions were bad for both sides. There players especially there No.9 were winding up our players a lot off the ball. Maybe we are getting a reputation so the other clubs are playing on it.
All in all. Two games I have seen this year the first really enjoyed the football played and the skill they showed compared to today.
Very nice Bacon cheese burger.

So who was sent off this time? I can't find it anywhere. by the sound of what's being said on the Worthing forum it was the crowd that got the red card awarded. They sound quite proud of that and one comment said that their management should be grateful to the crowd for getting our player sent off! These refs are bloody useless. What about the decision in the Man. Utd game today - pathetic. The cheats and the refs are ruining the game.

Their no 9 kicked our defender when they were on the ground they both got up and our player barged theirs and he dived to the floor, they spent tthe whole game diving and cheating and the useless ref bought it., their fans were just as bad baying for cards all game, a sorry lot

Didn't see what happened as the ball was up the other end by that point. It was the linesman that gave it not the ref. The ref made bad decisions for both sides. Some of the free kicks we got were nothing more than shoulder barges. And I don't think their crowd was any worse than ours at times. Getting a red card and penalty resulting in a goal is obviously result changing but I never felt we were really in control. I thought we let them dominate and determine the style of play with high and long balls and playing a physical game.

A post on the Worthing forum:
"Great result, another great team performance and another 3 points!
Positives - the team spirit, Jamie C. playing a great captain's role and us finishing the match with 11 men on the pitch! I also thought our keeper had a decent game and made a couple of great saves. We could (should) have had 4-5 goals in the second half when W&H went down to 10 men and started chasing the game but we looked pretty solid throughout after a rocky first 20 minutes.
Negatives - W&H kept splitting our CBs in the first half and beating the offside trap and could have been out of sight by HT but for poor finishing and good keeping. I may be a WFC fan but I don't like seeing any player going down like he's been hit by a sniper and for me it wasn't a red nor a penalty - if it had happened the other way round then we would have been screaming at their player and the ref - doesn't make it right just because the player is wearing a red shirt.
Two wins on the bounce and you can see the team is looking more confident and more cohesive - hope the management can resist the temptation to tinker wholesale and instead let this side start to settle.
Big test coming up on Saturday against the league leaders!"

And another:
"Thought it was a good performance yesterday. We were very lucky to not be 4 down by HT as we were cut open time and time again. The number 5 isn't good enough for this level but goes to show we are struggling to get players to come play for WFC. Having said that when we have Kenno and Knee back we will be a lot stronger at the back. I thought in the end we won the game in the centre of midfield. Crellin was everywhere, Gedling is top drawer on the ball and Hayward didn't give the ball away the whole game and looked composed.
Our forward going down like he got shot wasn't good to see but that did though win us the 3 points effectively. Overall though, 2 wins on the bounce now and moves us up the league."

Yeah I know - The more I read on the forum the sickening it is. But the only ones you can really blame are the officials and they were as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike. They did lose us the game. But I still say Worthing played the way they wanted to and dragged us into there style of football. If we had kept the play flowing flowing we could have finished it off so the penalty would have been irrelevant. I think we are short of about three players to really turn us into a really good team. So overall I don't think was such a bad performance as there were a number of good points to come out.
I think Juan is a good player and needs that extra but of confidence to get some belief in himself. Turl keeps scoring but needs to use his strength more in the air and Freddie is great team motivator. There are many other great players there however only seeing them twice this year cannot know all the names. I think we just have to remain positive and the players work with each other and know the supporters are behind them and it will lead to some great performances and results.

It was an absolute disgrace and we were conned out of points.
We had much more of the first half and should've been in front comfortably at half time, but for a couple of good saves and some weak finishing. Second half was all about the red card. The two players just squard up to each other, and their guys threw himself to the floor. The linesman bought it, after a few shouts from their (massively reduced??) support and the ref had no option but to go with his linesman. It was truly disgraceful behaviour from the Worthing player (not sure which one it was though) and it won them the game. What i find annoying though, is that it was a massive decision and the linesman cannot possibly have been sure what happened. The Worthing player would have had his back to the lino, so he could not possibly have seen any physical contact at all. He's gone completely on the ridiculous reaction of the player, so he's basically guessed and guessed wrong, and cost us the game.
We played some neat stuff going forward, but looked pretty suspect at the back at times. Given the number of players we had out though it's no surprise. The spirit and effort was there for all to see though and when we play on any pitch which is better than our ploughed-field of a home ground we look decent.
