A good win by the Swans against a decent Eastbourne side belied by their league position. Goals from Juan Onieva (who timed his run to perfection to head in an excellent angled cross) Sam Kazi (accelerating with tremendous pace past the full back and finishing expertly) and Ben Hammond with a beautifully executed free kick. Eastbourne scored deep into the second half from a penalty. Peculiar performance from the ref! How about some information from those in the know about the team please, ie injuries, suspensions, etc. and what has Will Turl done to lose his place in the team? When he came on he showed great ability in the air and on the ground . . .

The starting front pair and midfield four looked well-balanced to me, Eddie, though I don't disagree that Will could be just as effective. Horses for courses to go for Julian, maybe, against a heavyweight defender? Bear in mind that, by the time Will came on, their defence had already been given the runaround for over an hour.
I don't see enough games to judge properly but I'd say Eastbourne looked and played like a struggling team. We set the tone by not giving them a touch for the first 30-40 seconds, and 2-0 at the break hardly flattered us. Then at times it seemed that Steve's half-time talk was "cut out the nice passing, let's get disjointed and panicky." Hope Gladdy and Onieva can shake off their knocks as they give us a different level.

While we're on people who should have retired (I don't mean you, Will), I remember watching Rocky Baptiste, Eastbourne's sub, play for Stevenage what seems like half a lifetime ago. Good to see he still hasn't lost it. Which is another way of saying he never had it.
