The club can announce the departure of First Team Manager Scott Harris.
Upon his appointment to the role in April 2020, Scott outlined a clear vision and strategy to return the club to Step 3 within five seasons. That vision was realised in a minimal possible timeframe of just three seasons, achieving a near-unprecedented third consecutive promotion and subsequent return to Step 3 at the end of the 22/23 season.
It is simply impossible to put into words the debt of gratitude that is owed to Scott for his contribution to the club over the past four years. Our success since then, both on-and-off the field, can be attributed in significant part to Scott’s perseverance, hard work and unbound dedication, something for which all at Walton & Hersham FC are eternally indebted.
Scott departs W&H as the most successful manager of the modern Swans era, having secured three consecutive promotions, a League Cup win, a club-record 14 straight wins, and overseeing a 700% jump in average home league attendances since the beginning of his tenure.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything Scott.

Twatter says he was fired.
One can only assume a run of 26 games producing 30 points was not good enough … and let’s face it it was not.
Still seems harsh and I am surprised this happened before the end of the season.
Rumours that the club will appoint Bobby Wilkinson.

As an outsider so to speak it seems mental and disrespectful not to at least let him finish the season. 3 promotions in a row led to what is a huge step from 4 to 3 and to have Walton still in the play off race in the first season at the level is one hell of an achievement. There are a few big spending clubs with huge budgets below Walton in the table, seems bewildering to me.

There has to be more to this than performance and the season to date. The guys aren’t that naive and stupid to not understand the backlash and effect that this would have on the club. I think they will need to make an extensive comment on this and am sure they will in due course.
The timing is very strange indeed which is why I can’t believe there isn’t more to it than meets the eye. If it is a case of performance related and they have someone lined up I think they have made a huge mistake and damaged their reputation with the fans in the treatment of a man that has performed incredibly well and given them unparalleled success in al areas.
If they felt he had taken them as far as he could then fair enough and that’s common with teams that rise through the leagues. Luton and AFC Wimbledon for example don’t have the same leaders from where they were, But they should have seen the season out and then agree a parting of the ways with a send off from the fans. This will leave a bitter taste for long time indeed. He won’t be short of offers that’s for sure and I am gutted he has gone.

There are only two directs Tucker and Corey.
Corey acquired shares in the club and became a director.
Presumably they made the decision to sack Scott.

I am presuming there has a been a giant internal bust up since or just after the Hendon game that has led to this decision.
I was in favour of this a few months back but don't see the point now unless they have someone lined up and they want to look at the players in a game before deciding what to keep and get rid of but I doubt many of these players will be too bothered now after this.
I also thought results had improved anyway so I left it alone. The board had slated me on social media saying I didn't know anything and I was being ridiculous hence why I am now leaning towards the big bust up theory.

Madness ! it really is “A Funny Old Game “ Scott has given our club real stability, something the club hasn’t seen in fifty odd years, let’s hope the club doesn’t regret the day they let Scott go. They should have at least let him see out the remainder of the season, all I can think is that the club already have someone lined up and the new manager wants to use the remainder of the season to look at the players he has, before he “rebuilds” for next season. Thank you Scott for taking us on a wonderful journey and all the best for the future.

This one snuck through the turnstiles without being seen. American (Bring out the Cheerleaders) for the next Soccer season! This is a big concern, if they are going for just result over the quality of football. Of course we all want to win, but the sytle of football Scott brought to The Hub was something worth watching, watching a long ball team mid-table in Conference South does not sound to me to be so enticing. They need to produce something special to replace him.

The club needs to make a bigger and better statement on this. Scott, his backroom staff and the board have all played a huge part in turning this club around from nothing to where we are now, and they couldn't have done it without each other. It's a sad day for the club, and my huge thanks to Scott for helping to put the club where it is today. He'll not be short of offers, that's for sure.
That said, I suspect the playing budget the club offers comes with the expectation of playoffs at least. If the owners feel someone else is better suited to make that next step, then they've earnt the right to make that decision too. I just think there are more tactful ways of doing it than firing someone - hence the need for a proper statement from those who made this decision.
