Sad to hear of Scott leaving as thought he promoted himself well with the fans and showed all of us what he is capable of.Having achieved so much, so quickly perhaps tyhe time was right to move up a gear as felt, at times we were nieve in team selection. But hey, full credit to him and we owe him a great deal of respect. H

Huge respect to Scotty for his acheivements and the way he conducted himself.Thought some of his decisions were strange but then how may decisions has he made that go unnoticed and he should have had credit for!! But, credit also to The Board for being forward thinking and perhaps wanting to step up a gear in preperation for next season.

There’ll be a statement made by the club in the coming 48 hours explaining Scott’s departure in detail

How can it be forward thinking sacking a manager and we've only got 3 matches to go ,1 promotion during covid followed by 2 in 2 seasons and close to play offs this time ,it stinks and shows a certain lack of class by whoever made this desicion ,if Scott and Billy were going to leave it could have been left to last day and a party even if we didn't go up in play offs ,to sack him is going back to previous sacking of Steve Baker after a 3,0 win away from home ,don't expect real honest truth will come out ,who's taking job for Saturday to the end of season any body got any idears and is there a short list for next season it will take a special one to replace Scott and Billy, Mark hams Bobby Patterson and Kevin hinge ,failures of the past any views,

Best not speculate, I say.
It's something nobody expected or wanted, and I think it's a pretty safe bet that would include the board and those who run the club. There's always two sides to the story, and it would be good to get that information before stating a viewpoint. Let's hope we hear something within the next 48 hours.

If there's another side to the story then how come it takes up to 48 hours to prepare a statement? Surely, anyone with any common sense and knowledge of the club and its supporters, who are the club, would have gauged the reaction to what has happened? The Twitter/X feed has I don't know how many posts in reaction to this and 99% of them are very critical of the club. So why the delay?

And which one of the lucky 400-600 Swans fans who attend all home games will get the job of posting that statement ?
Will there be a name in a hat competition to see who gets the job ?
The original statement was posted by Gary, so that leaves, if my addition is correct, 🤔… getting there…. Got it 599 Swans supporters to choose from, to post the new statement regarding Scott’s departure ….
Why can the club itself not post on both the website and this forum, the statement(s) instead of using the supporters ?

I expect to see nearly if not all the current players available for Saturday as its too late in the season to find another club and lose wages.

We don’t really know the reason as yet from either the club or Scott to how it’s come to this very sad situation, we hopefully will know more in the coming days. Let’s hope with some very strong detergent it will all come out in the wash. (Bloody madness to me though)

This is an unofficial forum (still think the whole situation is bonkers though)

Madness ! it really is “A Funny Old Game “ Scott has given our club real stability, something the club hasn’t seen in fifty odd years, let’s hope the club doesn’t regret the day they let Scott go. They should have at least let him see out the remainder of the season, all I can think is that the club already have someone lined up and the new manager wants to use the remainder of the season to look at the players he has, before he “rebuilds” for next season. Thank you Scott for taking us on a wonderful journey and all the best for the future. The owners will be busy thinking of some great details, to create a big buzz around themselves on social media again because they believe they are some huge professional outfit.! Let’s face it that is embarrassing to everyone associated with the club, it’s a non league football team. One of many all trying to get by none of them are any more special than the others, the only thing that has made Walton and Hersham more special is being promoted 3 times in 3 years not many have achieved this type of record. I am sure they will update people on the fact that Scott would have liked to have left the club some months ago through the treatment from a number of people associated with the club and the toxic behaviour.. They have the new person lined up for sure they would not be doing this otherwise, it won’t be someone external. Scott only deserves good things for all he has done for Walton as a community and I am sure he will have an abundance of offers, if I were him I would stay well away from the horrible world of football and enjoy his life instead but you never know. He may find a club the appreciates everythiing he has done for a dying club. Good luck to Scott he deserves only the best.

Do you think we can conclude we are under control from someone on the other side of the pond? Is the “class of 18” really in control? Are we really just assuming and pinning the blame on one person because he happens to not be British? As someone above mentioned, most clubs who progress through leagues have this at some point, where owners feel the managers have gone as far as they can. It's extremely sad and needs to be handled properly, but it doesn't meant the board / owners are suddenly clueless regardless of their nationality. It will be the Yourh team if it comes to that and they will use that as a reason to just lose this season!
